One night a group of visitors, equipped with reindeer hides and sleeping bags, decided that it would be a good idea to use the cylindric shaped igloo as accommodation. The following morning the brave group raved about the unique sensation of sleeping in an igloo. The concept of ICEHOTEL was born. A lot has happened since. Today ICEHOTEL is world famous for its unique concept, its fantastic works of art and its extraordinary experiences. The fairy tale nature of ICEHOTEL brings out the child in guests of all ages. Welcome to the Arctic Cirle!

Day 1: Arrival at Kiruna

Airport transfer to your hotel in the centre of Kiruna

Two nights in a double room in the centre of Kiruna. Breakfast buffet every morning

Day 2: Kiruna

Sami cultural excursion in the morning. Try reindeer sledding and learn how to throw a lassoo. Traditional Sami lunch.

Northern Light excursion by snow mobile, coffee and sandwich in the evening

 Day 3: ICEHOTEL Jukkasjärvi

Taxi transfer to the ICEHOTEL in Jukkasjärvi in the afternoon

We recommend a visit to the church at Jukkasjärvi and the town’s cultural centre. We also recommend that you have dinner at the ICEHOTEL restaurant. Your table reservation is included in your package.

 Day 4: Departure from Jukkasjärvi 

At 7AM you will be served a hot cup of lingonberry juice in your room. Hot sauna and rich breakfast buffet.

Depending on your flight, you can also prolong your adventure with another excursion, or follow a crash course in ice sculpturing!

*Cold accommodation at ICEHOTEL: At night, the outdoor temperature drops quickly and when you step inside ICEHOTEL you feel a rush of warm air. Inside, the temperature is never colder than -5°C to -8°C, regardless of how cold it may be outside. It will soon be time to climb into bed. Dress in warm thermal underwear, put on a hat and slip into the cosy sleeping bag. Share the whole surrealistic ice night with someone special. Let it be a night to remember...!
