After the Ålesund fire in 1904, which destroyed most of the predominantly wooden houses, the town of Ålesund was rebuilt between 1904 and 1907 in the style of Art Nouveau. At the Norwegian Center for Art Nouveau Architecture you can learn more about the fire, the reconstruction of the city and the Art Nouveau style. The Sunnmøre Museum is an open-air folk museum with more than 55 old representative houses from the last 300 years that have been transported to the site. The Atlanterhavsparken is one of the most special aquariums in Europe. The aquarium is built in the coastal landscape on the west coast of Ålesund. Do not miss the feeding every day at 1pm. The Aquarium also has a spectacular outdoor area with a direct view to the Atlantic Ocean and a separate penguin park.
During our two-hour high-speed RIB-safari we will visit the coastline outside Ålesund and discover the spectacular landscapes and wildlife of Fjord Norway. We will visit a seal colony and the famous Runde Bird Sanctuary with its eagles and puffins. Our local guide will tell you interesting stories and take you close to nature. This safari is an exciting and fun experience for the whole family! Please note that the minimum passenger height is 1m40.

During this tour with your private guide, you will discover the old Stavanger neighborhood, which consists of 173 wooden houses from the late 18th and early 19th centuries. In fact, this is the largest collection of wooden houses in Europe. We will walk through Øvre Holmegate, a modern street where all the houses are painted in different colors. In addition, we will visit Valbergtårnet, an old watchtower for the city guards and we will pass by the Stavanger Cathedral, the only Norwegian cathedral from the Middle Ages that has preserved its original architecture. We will hear stories of Stavanger’s stagnation and progress, from urban formation, through the industrial ages with herring and canned food, to the modern oil city of today. The tour ends at the Petroleum Museum, where we will get a better idea of everything that surrounds the black gold of Norway.
